How do I add an image or screenshot to my discussion?
Adding a screenshot or image is a great way to add visual context to your discussion.
It can also be extremely helpful to add when you've run into an issue that requires troubleshooting so that fellow Community members can see where things have gone astray, and in turn hopefully lead to a solution faster.
Adding a screenshot or image to your discussion is super easy and you have a few ways to do so. We'll start with the easiest way first.
METHOD 1
If you have an image file saved to your PC that you'd like to include in your post you can simply drag the file into the conversation field and the Community will process and add the image to your discussion.
METHOD 2
You can also use the 'Upload Image' button from the options at the bottom of the conversation field. This will open a window which will allow you to find and select an image file from where its saved on your PC.
ADJUSTING SIZE & POSITION OF AN IMAGE
There are options to adjust the size and position of your image so that you can tailor the look & appearance of your discussion. To do so, click on the image itself once its uploaded, you will options to adjust the position to the Left, Centre or Right and for sizing, the Community can adjust it to Small, Medium or Large.
Please note: The results you receive using these options are dependent on the dimensions of the original image uploaded.

How do I search for existing posts related to a specific product? 🔍
How do I search the Reckon Community for existing posts related to specific products or categories?
Searching the Reckon Community is a great way to find existing posts or questions that have previously been created by fellow members. You may even find the answer to a question or topic that you're currently contending with that has already been answered or discussed! 😊
To start searching, enter some specific keywords relating to your query in the search bar then hit the Search button or simply press enter. A list of search results best matching your keywords will appear which you can browse and select from.
The best method though is to customise your search results for the Reckon product or category that is relevant to you by using the category filter.
Filter search results for your Reckon product
A really useful tip is to filter your search results by the product or category that is relevant to you/your query. You can do this by clicking the 'Discussions' option and then use the 'Category' list to select your Reckon product category. This will make your search results more relevant and specific to you by filtering existing posts for the relevant product only.
You can also user other filters such as date range, author, title and tags to drill down even further.
In a hurry? Use Smart Search!
As you start typing in keywords that are relevant to your query in the search bar, you'll be presented with suggestions that best match from all conversations and categories across the Community immediately in the list on-screen. Smart search will update the suggested list dynamically as you type.

My Reckon Community username looks a little different.. why?
Reckon Community update - Usernames
Hi everyone
I just wanted to give you a heads up on a recent update to the Reckon Community site. Previously the Community allowed members to have the same username as another member. This worked ok for a period of time however as the Community has grown (we're over 30K members now! 😲) it has presented challenges in moderation such as when @ mentioning members, private messaging members and accessing or maintaining your profile to name a few.
A recent update on the platform now prevents duplicate usernames to be registered so each member must have their own unique user name. As part of this update, any members who previously had the same username as others have had their username automatically appended with a unique number at the end of their user name eg. Rav_12345678
This only affects a small number of Reckon Community members and does not affect any use of the site in any way. No other member data has been altered or changed.
My username has changed as part of this update, how can I change it to something else?
If you'd like to change your username to something else then I'm more than happy to help you with that.
Click on the Flag 🚩 button on a post or reply you've created and select the Report option then send through a note with the user name you'd like yours updated to.
Note: Your username must be unique and not currently in use by another member. If your initial choice is unavailable, you will need to select an alternative.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Email notifications from the Reckon Community! 📧
How to receive email notifications from Reckon Community categories you're interested in! 📧
Hi everyone!
Want to stay in the loop with conversations happening on the Community? In addition to the general notification settings in your Community profile you can also receive email notifications each time there is a new discussion, or even comment, posted in a particular Reckon software category that you might be interested in.
For example, if you want to be notified by either email when a new discussion is created about Reckon Accounts Hosted or the Reckon Payroll App etc all you need to do is go that particular category that interests you and click on the bell icon at the top of the page and select to follow that category then tick the option to be notified of new posts along with ticking the Email Notifications option.
You will then receive an email notification each time a new discussion is created in the chosen category.
Enabling email notifications on Reckon software categories that you're interested in is a great way to stay up to date, keep an eye on what's being discussed and even share your knowledge & ideas with your fellow Community members.
⚠ Just a quick note, ticking the 'Notify of new comments' option in conjunction with Email Notifications will enable email notifications each time a new discussion AND comment is created in the chosen category which may become overwhelming to both you and your inbox. I'd recommend sticking with just the 'New Posts' option.

Your Community has a new look! 💥
Reckon Community's new look! 💥
Hey everyone!
You may have noticed that the Reckon Community's home page has a slightly new look and feel! 💇♂️
My aim was to make things simpler and a little less cramped when first landing on the Community home page so you can easily see the latest announcements, discussions and navigate the site more efficiently.
I've made a few changes to the layout, including distinct sections for important info, discussions from categories you follow and most recent discussions along with clear links to other important areas such as finding a Reckon Partner, our Help Guides & more! The sidebar has also been streamlined with links to the most popular Reckon product categories on the Community to help you quickly find the content you're looking for.
Our community is always evolving, and I'm committed to improving your experience. I really hope you enjoy the new look and find it easier to use. There are some further upgrades to other pages on the site in the works so stay tuned!
Its a been a bit of a new undertaking for me and I might not have got everything perfect so if you have any feedback, suggestions or if you notice something isn't working, please don't hesitate to let me know 🙏
Thank you for being a part of our community!

Email from the Reckon Community - 20 April
Good morning everyone
Some Reckon Community members may have received an email notification from the site yesterday evening out of the blue without any prompting.
I just wanted to give you a heads up that the email itself is not a scam/spam email but rather it was sent out inadvertently while I was conducting some site functionality testing in the background.
My sincere apologies for the confusion caused around this. You can delete the email outright.
If you wish, you can also login to your Community account and adjust your notification preferences using the link within the email or by signing in HERE.
I am implementing some changes to the site which will prevent this from occurring again in future.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to drop a comment below.
Apologies again and thank you for your understanding.
