Class Tracking

I'm after some more information regarding the functionality of Class Tracking.
What we are after is being about the record Sales & Expenses by Division (predominantly Expenses given Sales Items are specific to a Division whereas Expenses can be purchased for multiple Divisions).
Will class accommodate this?
Any feedback in regards to experience of utilising Classes?

    Hi again Susan.

    There is a good deal of information about Classes in the Help menu - just search for classes.

    Classes are designed to track income and expense for the class and produce a Profit & Loss Report per class.  

    Classes can be assigned on transactions and on item lines within a transaction.  

    There are some reports that cater to classes, and on other reports you can add a Class column and Filter by Class.

    It sounds like Classes will do what you are after.
