    Hey Chris,

    Welcome to the Reckon Community.

Was the file saved as CSV, IIF or QIF?

Quick books can only open QIF. If it is one of the other formats please see this discussion on steps on how to convert: https://community.reckon.com.au/reckon/topics/qif_files
This post on how to import may also be useful: https://community.reckon.com.au/reckon/topics/how_do_i_import_my_bank_statement_into_accounts_hosted

If you cannot locate the file after saving it from your online banking website, I would recommend downloading the file again and selecting 'Save File As' and choose to download to your desktop.

    Thanks,
    Mirko

    Hey Chris,

Thanks for following up and providing more information.

I've found an ongoing thread which indicated a similar problem and a soltion was provided by changing file type to ALL when browsing for QIF.

Please see Vinia's post in this thread:https://community.reckon.com.au/reckon/topics/qif_files for information.

    Thanks.

I've tried changing the file type to "all" then browsing to where it is saved but still does not reveal itself

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for your post.

looks like you might have saved to your Local computer's Desktop or any other folder but when viewing through Hosted, you're trying to look at the Server's desktop? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

It's better to copy the QIF file to your Q drive. Use the copy paste function to do this. Instructions can be found here:http://kb.reckon.com.au/issue_view.asp?ID=3861
This instruction is for Hosted Standard. To be able to do Copy paste in Premium, you have do it by clicking on "Look in" window drop down > browse to the location where the file is, right click to highlight file > press Ctrl C (to copy) > click the drop-down window again and select your Q drive > click on any empty white space and press Ctrl V. File will be copied over. Now you should be able to view and import QIF into your Data file.

We hope the above helps. Please let us know if you still require assistance.

    Thanks.

    Ifti
