Closing off old Purchase Orders

We have many old purchase orders going back to 2012.

How can I close these off without triggering the warning message about closed periods?

Alternatively, if I go ahead and input the password, will it affect any historical data?

    Hi MM,

    Thanks for asking the Reckon Community.

    Purchase Orders are non-posting transactions and do not affect your balances.  They can be used to create Bills and Invoices.  

    You are getting the warning because the date of the Purchase order is within a protected date range.  To proceed just enter the "closing date" password.
