Hi,
Just started using Reckon One and setup 2 x Bank Feeds with 2 different Westpac accounts.
Feed is working well but have an issue in relation to setup of transaction rules.

The feeds coming in do not have any reference data for the account number or specific feed that the transaction is coming from. I need to create a rule for different transactions from the 2 accounts to go through to different expense/income accounts. Without an account reference from the two different feeds there is no way to know which expense/ income account they should be allocated to.

I can get this info from a manual import why not bank feed?

Help!

Trent

    Hi Trent,

    Welcome to the Reckon Community.

Each Westpac bank account feed has to be linked to a corresponding bank ledger account in Reckon One.

The information for each transaction is supplied by the bank.  If that narration does not contain sufficient information to identify the ledger accounts to which the transaction should be allocated, then it will not be possible to create a Rule for it and will have to be allocated manually.

Where a transaction has been previously manually entered, then the downloaded bank transaction may be able to automatically Match it, searching for a similar date and then a similar amount.  Where more than one possible match is found it will match it to the first found.

    Hope this helps,

    regards,
    John.
