How do I stop Reckon from using Windows Mail and start using Outlook?

I'm using Premier 2013 with Windows 8.1 and it's presently using Windows Mail. I have installed Outlook 2016 and would like to use that instead of Windows Mail. How do I stop Reckon from using Windows Mail and start using Outlook?

You will probably have to check your default program settings on  your computer.
You may have windows mail as the default.

Once you have Outlook working, always phone the client after you send an invoice to make sure they got it

because in 50% of my cases, Outlook invoices end up in either the recipients Spam bin or are completely blocked by various ISPs

Cannot understand why ISP's would block Reckon invoices or why they would end up in Spam bins either.  I'm not saying what you are saying is not correct, just that I don't understand.

Maybe others can confirm too or throw light onto why this is happening.

I am still trying to work out the cause, it could be Outlook 2016 or Reckon 2016 that causes it, I have both and never had an issue with older versions

as you know, Internet security is becoming too sensitive

I am using Win7 but maybe recipients are using Win10 and that could also cause the extra security anti spam measure? Win10 currently has many issues, check the Win10 forums

Hi Greg,

Unfortunately, Reckon Accounts Premier 2013 is not compatible with Outlook 2016. You would either have to use Outlook 2013 or upgrade to Reckon Accounts 2016 which is fully compatible with Outlook 2016.
