Reckon 2016 & 2017 Export to excel

I often export to excel from Reckon 2017 without a problem. Today I tried to export again. However Reckon only allows me to export comma separated values (csv) files. All other options are greyed out and cannot be used. Is there a solution for this issue?

    Hi Duncan

Did you select a new Excel worksheet option instead of the CSV file(it may be a default at your computer?

    Hi Duncan, Dorothy,

There are a number of reasons why you are lacking the ability to export to Excel like:
    • The user does not have sufficient permissions to read the Windows Registry;
    • Your installation of Microsoft Excel is damaged.
    • Your installation of Reckon Accounts is damaged.
    • Your registry is damaged.
    • You are not using a supported version of Microsoft Office.
See this article for a guide to resolving the issue.

    regards,
    John

    Hi John

The reasons that you have mentioned do not exist here. I can perform other reports except for general ledger.

    Thanks Dorothy,

Is that the Reports > Accountant > General Ledger report?

    regards,
    John

Then, its seem like your installation either for reckon or Microsoft is damaged as what John has mentioned here. You may try to uninstall & install either Microsoft or Reckon  or both. Good luck to you.
