We have set up multi user in Reckon Hosted. We have the same user name and password, but different sign in's. If one user in using the company file, and another tries to log in, the original user is kicked out. It has only started doing this over the past few weeks. It worked fine previously. As today is the last day of the financial year, 2 of us are trying to get everything up todate. Help!

Hi Fiona - sounds like you only have purchased one Hosted license?  but are using 2 different users when you log into the datafile in multi user mode?  I didn't even know that this was possible, it was never meant to be.  Reckon fixed this issue back a few weeks ago, hence the reason you haven't been able to do what you had previously been doing.  There isn't any problem with the system, it is now working as it always should have.  There have been quite a few posts on this... you need to have 2 x Hosted licenses if you want 2 people using Hosted at the same time.  checkout this conversation thread  https://community.reckon.com/reckon/topics/accounts-hosted-suddenly-not-allowing-multiple-company-fi...

That is a real shame.  We have 5 different entities. We have been using Quickbooks for the past 20 years, and even though we have been tempted to change to a different accounting package (and encouraged by our accountant), we have remained loyal.  I assume that we now have to spend another $670 on another licence?  It is only two 1/2 days a week that 2 of us will need to be accessing Quickbooks.  Seems a little costly.  May have to look elsewhere.......

At least with Reckon you can access unlimited entities (in your case 5) with your one subscription - some other vendors charge per entity...  understand its frustrating.. I usually discuss with clients before purchasing Hosted to think about how often they both need to be accessing Hosted - often we can cut down the number of users if people work in different time frames on a file.  If you have an Accredited Partner nearby maybe you can discuss options with them - there is often special pricing available?  https://partnersearch.reckon.com/
