How many shipping addresses can one customer have?

we do counter sales that have deposits attached and don't ask me why but the boss doesn't want these as individual accounts as they are short term agreements done through sales receipts.

He has been putting them through a customer called counter sales and just typing in the Customer name and address but of course he didn't realise that the main address alters every time and so we cannot run reports etc or track these deposits. I thought of using the shipping address for each agreement to track the deposits. Anyone have any idea how many shipping addresses one customer can have? Yes I did ask Reckon, not helpful.

Using the Ship To address will eventually reach a limit & will be just as cumbersome as remembering to change the "Sold 2" details.  I'd continue just updating that box each time with the Customer Name AND also add the Customer Name to the Memo as this Memo column can be added on reports.

Hi, thanks for the reply, its not difficult to change the sold to details its just taht Reckon doesnt remember them and you cannot search for them in a report. Some of our deposit agreement last for years others only days and its impossible to find the ones when we just change the sold to. I will check out the memo idea but not sure I can search by that in a report.

my desription is the item descripton and I cannot seem to find the memo in any of the reports. I tried adding a field but Reckon isnt generating the fields into its reports since the 2020 upgrade.

Which report are you specifically running?

When you're in a report, if you click on "Modify Report", you should be able to add the Memo column in here:

Hi Shaz,

i can run a few reoprts to see the outsatnding deposits , item is the most helpful, but this report picks up the descrription as the items decription not the memo . The transation listing picks up the memo if I click the decription as you have knidly showed me , unfortunately if I try to add the item so I can interrogate the report when I export it to an excel document, Reckon does not generate the memo info in the modified report. It used to before the 2020 update. I have Reckon looking into this,
