Terminated Employees making Reckon crash

Hi All,

I've noticed lately that if I have to access a terminated/inactive employee that Reckon simply crashes and closes. I now have a recently terminated employee who is going to help us out on a casual basis until Christmas so I need to rehire him. Every time I access his name , Reckon crashes. Any ideas?

I could set him up again but he already has a year to date and has been finalized through STP.

    Hi Robyn,

If the program is crashing then your file likely has data problems.

It would likely be faster to setup that Employee as a new employee.

If you would like us to take a look at the data file, submit a case request.

Recommend you check all currently active employee records and confirm that they are viewable without crashing.

Then check all the terminated employees to see if any others are resulting in a crash.

If you send us a file to undergo analysis, let us know which employees are affected.

Thanks for that. Yes I have set him up again with a middle initial and a new employee number.

It's been happening for a while... all terminated employees make reckon crash seconds after clicking on their name.

Usually I delay making them inactive until i'm sure all payments have been made and I'm not required to access them again. This one caught me out :)

Yes I think that would be a good idea. Pretty hectic at the moment so I haven't had a chance to look at the form.

I semi-regularly verify and rebuild so thought all would be ok.

    Shall be in touch.

    Regards,
