Terminating an Employee In STP App
Could I please have clarification as to how to correctly terminate an employee in the STP app?
The last employee I just entered their end date and thought that would be sufficient as I could not find anything else to do, however, when we ran the end of year report, it submitted a full year of earnings to the ATO for the employee who was not working for us that Fin Year. That is still currently under investigation and not yet resolved.
Also, how do I lodge their Annual Leave Payout figure and tax? Is it done as a Pay Run, and if so, what would be the pay period? Would it be their complete employment period or just the last week?
We only have the free version, as we have/had two employees.
