  • Journal contains a transaction to a bank account. The journal date can't be earlier than the bank account start date (1/07/2020).

My bank account has no "account opened date" showing, so i thought i could post a journal to 30/06/2020 for all the year befores details and to create the required opening balances.

Why won't my journal post ?

When you first create your company file, the system asks you to specify a start date so this means you must have entered 01/07/20.

Unfortunately, I don’t believe this can be edited so you’ll need to either delete the company file & create it again (with the start date as 30/06/20) or enter the opening GJ balances as at 01/07/20.
