EOFY out of balance for employee

Hi I have done a check of the balances for our employees and found that an employee that left in December - his total figures are out - over stated. so I need to do a negative run.

for whatever reason, I cant do a negative pay run for him. How do I reduce his total amount for the year?

I have gone into his individual entries that I have sent to the ATO through the STP system and that adds, but the total figure for end of financial year doesnt - very confusing and frustrating.

Your help would be appreciated

Can I just confirm, are you using the Payroll App or the free STP app?

Sorry could you give me a bit more clarity on the process you're going through with the above. How are you attempting to this in the app?

    Hi Rav,

I'm using the free payroll app. I just updated it today from the old STP app.

I'm going into the payroll app click on the employee then check the pay summary.

our old employee worked from July to Dec 2020 and has left so all of his entries are on the old STP app. I have gone into this app to see if I could adjust his pay somehow, but cant see it.

In summary, it has calculated an extra pay in his EOFY Figures which doesnt make sense as I have gone into each payroll sent through the app and this calculates correctly compared to my accounting system which is Reckon premier - but a stand alone system not in the cloud.

Ok, lets focus on the Payroll App since you've migrated to that now.

If you need to make corrections to this employee's balance in the Payroll App now that their data is in it. Go into their employee profile, click 'Edit' and then scroll over to the Year to Date tab. You can amend their balance here to what it should be and this updated balance will get picked up on the next new submission you send through, whether that's a pay run or an EOFY finalisation.

That's fantastic - just adjusted the employee and it worked - thank you very much!

    Hi Rav,

I'm trying to submit the EOFY report and on my phone screen it doesnt show the declaration button at the bottom. I can see all my employees and their details but I can only see down to Total Allowances. Any clues what I should do?

Yep so this happens if you have any display assist settings switched on such as Zoom/Magnification etc.

If you go into your phone settings and switch that off and then reload the app (you may have to close it in full ie. swipe it away) then it should go back to normal and the options will appear.

@MeganMorris Keen to know if you succeeded in submitting the EOFY payrun after clicking on the Declaration Button.
