Allocate Super to Compassionate Leave

I need to allocate the SGC to Compassionate Leave, but when creating the item I don't have the option of ticking the box to connect it to super.

I must be doing something wrong but I can't work out what, could someone please help?

(I am only in this office on Tuesdays and it is late in the day so please don't think I am rude if I don't reply until next week :) )
