Carers leave

Hi Rav,

Why does 'carers leave' not form part of the 'add earnings/leave' dropdown list when completing a pay run?

It has been set up under pay items as shown. I understand it forms part of 'personal leave'; however, would like to differentiate between the two.

    Hi @Kali

    Now that the item has been setup, assign to relevant employee in their profile via the Leave tab. Example below.


    Once you've done that the item will appear for selection when creating a pay run.

    Thanks for your response.

    How do I set this up though to tie in with the personal leave accrual? It's not a separate entitlement that accrues on it's own, the hours taken need to be taken from the personal leave accrual.

    Each pay item is independent of each other so the new item you've created will have its own settings and accrual etc.

    Is there a particular reason that you want this item to be differentiated from the regular Personal Leave item?

    Hi Rav,

    Because employers want to be able to report on when their staff have taken personal leave for themselves or others. In the old system we were able to differentiate between the two.
