Paying Unused leave for staff that resigned

We have had an employee resign - For STP Phase 2 payment types, do I use, 'Unused leave on termination (paid leave type U) even though technically he was not terminated.

    Yes, that's correct - the terminology just means "when someone leaves" 😊

    NOTE: If you pay Annual Leave Loading, this also needs to be set up as a separate Payroll Item for payout on termination too (linked to the same "Leave - Unused Leave on Termination (U)" STP2 category).
