How do I delete currencies that no longer exist? (i.e. Italian Lire)

I have several currencies in my Currency list that no longer exist. I'd like to delete them off of the list as the list is very big and they're now obsolete. Has anyone done this? Any suggestions?

It should just be a matter of unticking the currency that you dont use, make sure you leave AU$ under

TOOLS, CURRENCY LIST

The only one that is ticked is AU$ as that's my default currency. None of the others are ticked, but are on the list. See attachment

There is no button available to delete a Currency.
