Hi @trishrouse1
Are you looking for general info on how to install the latest v31 edition of the Personal Range software? If so, the first port of call I'd recommend is the installation & upgrade guide which you'll find here - Reckon Personal Range - Installation & Upgrade Guide
If there's a more a specific question you have around installation, let us know 🙂

I can see the new version of Reckon on my computer but do not know how to activate it!! I had already deleted the previous version.

Hi @trishrouse1
Since you’ve already installed the new version and removed the old one, follow these steps to activate it properly:
1. Launch Reckon
- Open the new Reckon Accounts program from your desktop or Start menu.
2. Start the Activation Process
- On first launch, Reckon should automatically prompt you to activate the software.
- If you don’t see the prompt, go to Help → Activate/Upgrade in the menu.
3. Enter Your Serial Number / License Key
- You will need your product serial number or license key, usually found:
- In your purchase email from Reckon
- On the product packaging (if you bought a physical copy)
- In your Reckon account online
- Enter the serial number exactly as provided.
4. Connect to the Internet
- Reckon will need an internet connection to verify your license.
- If your firewall or antivirus blocks the program, temporarily allow Reckon through.
5. Confirm Activation
- After entering the serial number and verifying online, Reckon should display a message confirming activation successful.
- You can now open or create your company file.
6. Open Your Company File
- If you still have your old company file (.QBW), go to File → Open or Restore Company and select it.
- If you don’t have a backup, make sure you restore from your most recent backup to avoid losing data.
I hope this helps you activating your new version of Reckon!
