Reckon Hosted - Ridiculously Slow

I am sure the title of my post says it all.

Reckon Hosted - Ridiculously Slow, and it is becoming a problem.

I am aware at this time of year there are a lot of us finishing the EOFY tasks, but I would assume that Reckon Hosted should be able to handle the rise in users.

Or can someone shed some light on why this system is so slow, I can't even open a blank purchase order?

    Hi Mellesa

    Very sorry to hear you're experience slow performance with Hosted at the moment, you're right there is very high throughput on the network at the moment due to the end of financial year period.

    We're operating at a high server capacity to ensure the increased traffic is managed as best as possible. Unfortunately, there may be instances at this time of year where the speeds are a little slower than normal.

    We do have some Hosted speed tips & tricks here however if you're experiencing prolonged issues, I'd definitely recommend having a chat with our Hosted Support team.

    Having the same problem, trying to do my BAS and just sitting, sitting, sitting  - nothing happening.  Ready to throw out window :(

    Running reports is soooooooooooooooo slow and while it is doing it you cannot do anything else within the program. Extremely frustrating paying people to sit there and just watch a screen that takes multiple minutes to get a report. Things need s to get better to keep us using this product.

    I am also experiencing this problem today (BAS due tomorrow but I'm new to the system). Is it normally quicker? I sure hope so because it's taken me 2-3 minutes to enter each bill! :(

    It use to be alot better, they are doing an update on Saturday hopefully this will make things better.

    Thanks Lori, I hope so. Last bill has literally taken 14 minutes to enter with all options it searches for in dropdowns. I'll finish this BAS and monitor speeds in 'offpeak' times, because otherwise it looks very suitable for my needs! Cheers :)

    Can someone share the tips & tricks, i prefer not to wait in a phone call queue. If they are public, then please share URL or the like. We suffer as well, regardless of day of the month. If they run VM /Terminal Server environments, then allocating more 'grunt" is just a click away for the tech team. All our other hosted apps work fine, but Reckon is seriously slowing down and pausing/hanging at the most inconvenient times.

    this is also happening with us, over 1 minute to wait for reports to reload. and dont suggest internet, on NBN and others complain also

    Really sorry to hear that Marne,

    What level of data is your report generating? 

    Are you experiencing performance issues outside of generating reports? If so, can you let us know which activity/tasks you're performing?

    I have NBN, the Reckon test says my internet is above average and it keeps lagging terribly. Reckon - you need to lift your game or this PP is going elsewhere for a cloud solution.

    I have a very big company file and generating the BAS quarterly report can take up to 2 or more hours to generate.  During this time I have been logged out due to inactivity which means starting the whole process again multiple times.  I can't tell you how frustrating and what a waste of time this means.  Reckon really needs to do something about this urgently.

    We also have a large company file and doing tax reports can take up to an hour or more (which I was hoping would change once we switched to Hosted but it is now worse) wishing we hadn't made the switch to Hosted but as Reckon Desktop has compatibility issues with Windows 10 we thought it would be the best way to go.

    Come on Reckon we pay good money for this program and its functionality is below adequate in terms of speed and reliability - example happening right now - only 15 invoices to email and it has been sending the 6th one for the past 15 minutes GRRRRRRRRR. - Log out and start again for the 10th time this today.

    Hi guys,

    Do you regularly perform maintenance on your file or prior to performing data intensive processes? In terms of reports, the build time is very dependent on the volume of data that is being generated, single/multi-user mode, network condition etc.

    You've both mentioned you have large company files, have you created and then restored a portable backup file to reduce unnecessary usage/file fragments?

    Thanks again Rav:  I have gone through the steps of creating the portable file and restoring / sorting lists and yes is definitely faster than it was - maybe not as much as I hoped but certainly alot better than what it was  :-)

    Budget vs actuals takes 30+mins to load. very frustrating. I have been on calls to the support team but none of their trouble-shooting steps worked. Not sure if Reckon is the accounting software for us.
