How do i get my payroll to come out of my pettycash when the payrun say paid?

When doing a pay run in payroll it gives me the status that its paid when i click finished.. yet it doesnot show in my petty cash account.. is there a step that im missing

    When doing payroll, it is a two step process.  You process the payroll and finish, then you need to expense it in either the bank account or as you do in petty cash.

    When doing the expenses change the accounts payable to payroll expense, contact will be your employee and then you can allocate to the payroll.
