Customer message on sales order

In both the Sales Order and Invoice templates on Accounts Hosted, there is a box titled "Customer Message" where we have a drop down list of messages that we can select.
It is easy to add new messages but does anyone know how to remove them from the list?
We have a list of more than 20 now and I would like to delete some please.

    Lists > Customer & Supplier Profile Lists > Customer Message List

    Hi John,
    Go to lists, customer & supplier profile lists, customer message lists, you can then highlight each message and edit, delete, make inactive etc.
