Steps needed to pay my self simply.

I am a sole trader and want to be able to pay myself. I don't need the payroll plugin. I know I have to record the transaction under drawings. But I cant work out the steps of the transaction. If someone can help.

    Write a cheque to drawings. Simples

    Or create a journal drawings Dr to bank account For. Then you can either saving it was a recurring TRX or copy it for next time

    Journals aren't necessary Felicity. In the normal case GJ entries are for non cash transactions.

    Hi Chris,

    If you wish to pay your self a regular amount just like a pay.  You could organise the repeat transaction within your internet banking.  Then make a rule in your banking with Reckon one so that this transaction goes directly to your drawings.
