Increased Salary in one pay slip

I need to increase the salary of our full time salary on the 1st Jan but this falls within the fortnightly pay which spans 21/12 to 03/01 so I need to show one salary rate from 21/12 to 31/12 and then the higher salary from 01/01 to 03/01. They work a 76 hour fortnight.

This is in Reckon Hosted.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @RacWar,

Here is one of the options available:

You may consider using two pay items, for example, Salary 2020 and Salary 2021 and pay the employee for hours worked in each year using the respective pay item. Remove the old pay item from the employee's record after the first payrun of 2021 since it won't.

Note: While this is a potential workaround for your situation, please check on how this may impact your reporting obligations (such as reports, STP etc.) as we cannot offer accounting related advice.

    Thanks Mario for the suggestion.

You mention this is one of the options available: are you able to tell me the others as Im a tad worried about the STP and reporting you mention at the bottom.

    Thank you
