Hi

Hoping someone can help. I successfully upgraded two Reckon files last week. I was about to use them both after the upgrade. I attempted to log in this morning and cant access the file. I am using the Launch Accounts 2021 R 2. I get to the file and get the message below. Does anyone have any suggestions. If I restore the back up I loose a day and half work.

thanks

The message says V2020 can’t open. You definitely clicked on 2021?

We are having the exact same issue.

Two computers in the office, one logs in fine the other is coming up with the same message as you and even suggests the file is in single user mode when it has not been changed.

Definately selecting the R2 button and have video of such sent to me from the night shift girl who is the one having issues.

I can log in to all user files from home without issue.

Please help, there is something not right here.

I feel your pain Leanne. Yes Kris definitely logged in on 2021. Tried multiple times. I then tried to get someone else to try. He got the message that I was in the file and needed to change to multi user when I hadn't even got in. He logged out completely. I made sure all users logged out through control panel and I tried again. I was able to get back in. There definitely seems to be a problem

Have you tried logging off all remote sessions in the Control panel?

    Hi Kris

sorry I should have been more specific. When I said I made sure all users logged out it was by logging all remote sessions off in control panel. I am back in now. I havent had any other users try and log in yet though.

Ok good, does that mean it’s working now? Yes sorry I missed that, speed reading!

So I have just been on the phone with the tech department who are suggesting the path to the file is incorrect. I however, do not believe this because we can access the file sporadically. If the path was incorrect it shouldn't let us in at all. I now have to wait until I can have a look at this when I'm back in the office on Monday just to appease the techs before I can log a further call. I can also access the file from another location without issue so I don't believe this is the problem. Argh!!!

This happens as a result of the/a user still being “connected” to Reckon’s (Hosted) server (& therefore still “logged in” to the 2020 file)

Logging off remote sessions enables the system to refresh, hence then recognising the update to 2021 ☺️
