Issue when emailing or printing invoices - Reckon Accounts Desktop

Out of the blue I am not able to email or print invoices - system message "Reckon Accounts - Unrecoverable Error" and notes the following error code 14528-02591. Has anyone else experienced this? Would appreciate if anyone is able to advise how to rectify this issue. Interestingly, I am still able to email payslips & I can also print reports without issue, so appears to be specific to invoices.

Would appreciate any guidance as to how I can fix - I am using desktop version Reckon Accounts

Is this occurring for one (customer) invoice in particular or all invoices?

Hi there Shaz - thanks for reaching out - the issue occurs with any invoice that I try to email or print. Appears to be confined to A/R as I have also successfully emailed remittances this morning

Hmm … I thought it may have been a particular customer that was corrupted but if it happens with all invoices, it’s not that then 🤔

Have you tried Verifying & Rebuilding the Company File? (Both options are under the File dropdown menu > Utilities)

Run the Rebuild x 3 as 3 times fixes a lot of issues.

Other than that, try running the program as the Administrator by right-clicking on your program icon & selecting that in the pop up menu.

    @Rav what do you suggest?

Thanks Shaz - I already log into Reckon as Administrator but will try the Verify/Rebuild x 3 & see what happens. Very peculiar that it has happened out of nowhere - we had updates to our system on September 17, 2021 however was still able to email & print invoices on Monday September 20, 2021

    Hi Dee

Verify & Rebuild is a really good step to do but if there's no change after doing so then can you please try out the steps in the help guide I've linked below and see if that does the trick.

Will do Rav - will check out the link while system is verifying/rebuilding - bit of a slow process but will persevere none the less

    Hi Dee

Just to clarify, logging into your program as the Admin User isn't what I was referring to.

Running an app or program as an administrator, allows full permissions to access restricted parts of your PC system that would otherwise be off-limits & is sometimes necessary for certain programs to work correctly, particularly when changes have occurred due to system updates.

Right-click on your program icon then right-click again on the program in the pop up menu & select Run as administrator.

Ah huh! - will try again as instructed - however may need to contact our IT Support as Reckon is installed on our network server (has separate network drive) as well as individual workstation/s. I'm based in Victoria (Public Holiday today for Grand Final) so if I can't rectify locally I will need to get them to check it out on Monday. They had a quick look yesterday but weren't able to get a quick solution

So have logged into Reckon via Run as Administrator - re-did both verify & re-build x 3. Unfortunately no success rectifying the invoice email/print issue.

Checked for QBPRINT.QBP & WPR.INI files but these appear to have been removed previously.

I will let our IT Guys know what has been tried today including the advice regarding deleting the QBPRINT.QBP & WPR.INI files.

Thankyou both Shaz & Rav for your responses - much appreciated
