How to print out payslips

Our bookkeeper left but didn't give me a detailed handover on how to use Reckon. He set up our pays for this fortnight, however, I can't figure out how to get to that information again and print out the payslips. The only written instructions he gave me were to go through the payroll process of entering in the information, click Save & Close, then Create payment, then Print Pay Slips - in other words do it all in one sitting, but he didn't print out the payslips when he created the payments for this fortnight, and I don't know how to get back to this fortnight's payments to print out the payslips. Is there a way of deleting a previous entry and re-doing it again from scratch? Thankfully I know what our fortnightly pays are and am able to manually pay staff by going directly to our bank account, but I'd like to be able to give staff their payslips as well. We use Reckon Hosted Online. I tried the Reckon Support number but wasn't clear about the options and when I hit 0 to hear the menu again, it dropped out on me. Would appreciate any help that is out there. Thanks.

If you go to the payroll section where the pays are processed there’s a little print box, click the arrow and you can print or email from there

you can also go to File- Print forms and select payslips

I went to payroll but can't see any print icon anywhere there. I don't think our bookkeeper set the system up properly in the first place. Thanks anyway.

This has nothing to do with setup, have a look under File - print forms - payslips

Thanks for taking the time to look at this question, but I now have the answer. Managed to get onto Reckon support after going through various numbers and he helped me print out the payslips. I didn't have to open up Payroll at all but go to File, print forms, then payslips (as per your second section Kris). Once I'd put in the correct date, I was able to access the payslips which were "printed" as a pdf which I then was able to download etc. So thanks all.

Great however the other way works too and can be done when you have finished processing the pays and it’s right there in the same window

Thanks Kris. The problem was that I didn't process the pays (the bookkeeper who left did), and I didn't know how to get back to them. I actually did them again, and through some other screen (don't ask me which one) I then discovered there were duplicate entries for the same date. Thankfully I somehow managed to change the entries I'd made today and give it next fortnight's date so next fortnight's pays have been done as well! Just went in to try the way you show above and I'm the only information that comes up on my screen is as per below - probably because he set the pays up for 3rd December and not today. I'll jot this way into my notes as well though, just to cover all bases. Problem averted for this fortnight thank goodness!

The print box should be available above the payroll tab and I think it’s available on the Employee tab as well

Yes it is available in any one of those tabs. When I process pays I just go up the top to Employees- Payroll Centre. Might be worth investing in an hour of training by an accredited trainer - it will make things easier for you.

We're a small not-for-profit (only two part-time staff now, the equivalent of 1 full-time staff member) so training is not really in our budget. Would have been better if there had been a decent handover, or I was able to find suitable Help files in Reckon.

Did you search the Help files within the program itself? They’re actually really good 😊

I did a search on the Reckon help files for pay slips - printing, and what came up was how to change fonts, so I haven't found the help files on the Reckon I can access helpful at all.

Worked everything out, thanks very much. How do I close a discussion on the community?
