Stationary

Hi, is it possible to change it customise the stationary Reckon spits out?

we are a NGO accepting donations from the public and the members, and when issuing receipts, I need it to say “contribution receipt” not “tax invoice” at the top.

thanks for your help.

Yes, go into the template (“Customise”) & change the wording/title on the template ☺️

Shaz I can not find the "Template" anywhere. May be I don't have access to customisation capability?

With the template on the screen you should see the word customise up near the top of the window to the right, maximise the window in case it’s hidden. To the right of the toolbar you may see two little arrows, click to see the word customise

Following on from Kris's advice above ...

This will take you to the Basic Customisation window. From here, click on Additional Customisation:

Here you'll find all the columns & fields on the selected template with a preview to the right.

The Default Title is what you can see on both your screen & on the printout, but you can edit this (& other data labels/fields) here under the Header tab:

On the remaining tabs, you can edit the template further including adding/removing columns & fields, changing fonts & formatting.

NOTE If the text you want to replace it with is longer than the existing text, you may need to make the text box larger to accommodate it. (Edit the Title accordingly first, so you can determine if/how much additional space is needed):

If so, to do this, just click on the Layout Designer & drag out the label field box as shown selected here:

(In this Sample Co File, the text box was already large enough to accommodate that name change)

    Here's how it looks/displays:

    Dear Kris and Shaz,

Can I firstly express my thanks to you both for being so helpful and providing such great step by step advice. I am new to Reckon and was appointed as the treasurer of this committee. The previous treasurer had set this up and handed it to me a few weeks ago. After some investigation I note that we are only subscribing to the basis access to this software. It appears form customization come with an additional $20/month. That's a shame because we don't sell products and services and our only source of income is the member contributions which is limited. So I guess I'd have to find another option or just accept the default extremely basic templates that is built into my access. I am certain others will find your research and great advice helpful. Thank you once again and God bless.

That’s a shame, I wasn’t even aware that there were these restrictions.

Ah … this category relates to “Reckon Accounts” (RA) which includes all features by default - If there are additional modules available, it sounds like you may actually be using “Reckon One” (R1) - not RA - which is a completely different program. The above advice from Kris & myself relates to RA 😬

For future reference, you’ll find another category on this forum specifically for R1 which may be more helpful for you here: https://community.reckon.com/categories/reckonone
