Inactive suppliers have been migrated to Reckon One

Prior to migration from desktop to Reckon One, I went through the chart of accounts, and creditors/suppliers and marked lots as inactive, thinking that would help. But now the migration is completed, none of the general ledger accounts have stayed as Inactive. Can't tell with suppliers, I had gone through the Supplier Centre and made almost everyone from 2015 and prior with no transactions as inactive. Haven't found where to view suppliers in Reckon One other than a list in Supplier contacts for which there are no transactions to view. If I go to Supplier transactions, it only gives recent transactions per the period selected, and no zero ones. I see in R1 that I can make suppliers inactive in the Supplier Contacts but how do I know which ones they are now?
Was all my efforts a waste of time?

Is this the place to post migration queries because I expect there will be quite a lot.

Many thanks
Jean.

    Hi there @Jean_10862158

Thanks for getting in touch. I've asked about this and from what I understand, anything inactive shouldn't have been migrated over unless it was specifically requested with the migration team.

Can you recall if this came up at all during the migration process and whether it may have been asked that all suppliers be transferred over to the Reckon One book?

Definitely not asked. Before they started, I did have to correct the zero employees that they showed on their confirmation, because we had 3 and some inactive ones. That was the closest it came to that. I wasn't asked if I wanted inactive on anything or not.

Also it appears none of the settings I had transferred across. MMCconvert said when it was finished that they migrated as accrual basis, however every setting was still Cash, so I had to look for everywhere this might appear and change it to Accrual. eg. Trial Balance, BAS, then went into Tax Settings and changed that to Accrual and default sales figure to Net (tax exclusive), ticked Simpler BAS, and in BAS also changed to Net (Tax exclusive), ticked for both PAYGW and PAYGI.
Then in report settings found one still said cash so changed that to accrual, Ageing Reports changed to Trans.date, Invoice template changed to Arial 11pt, and put in Logo.
I should add, when MMCconvert emailed that it was done as accrual basis, it also gave instructions that if you wanted it to be cash to follow a link, but this link went to how to do it on the desktop, not R1. and showed the tax settings also for desktop, not R1.
Also don't seem to be able to save our 2nd user into the new book. Tried several times, it doesn't seem to take.

    Thanks for flagging this @Jean_10862158

It sounds like there are a few things there that need some attention. Let me get one of my colleague's @Lucas who is an expert with migrations to get in touch with you directly and work through this. He's not in today but he'll be in touch hopefully tomorrow. If required we can also liaise with the team at MMC to investigate and look at what's happened and how to best make any corrections.

Because of the new migration I have to enter all our customer names because I only used an all encompassing one for the monthly totals of sales before. So in contacts - customers there are 17 customers there, some marked as customer/supplier. We have had only one customer in recent years (since 2017) as a customer, and that was for the monthly sales totals less money received against them.
Some in R1 marked supplier/customer were suppliers but issued refunds to us. Surely this doesn't make them a customer. Our banks and the Aust.tax office are also listed as customer/supplier, these aren't suppliers.
Can I safely delete these? Actually I did try to on one of them and it wouldn't let me, it says "customer still use". So I guess I can't delete them.

What to do to tidy this all up.

I was on the phone for 1hr and 8 min. to a male person at tech support this afternoon, just to get our other user access to the new book and to sort out why my 2nd login wouldn't work. Finally in the last 10 minutes he seemed to work it out and fix it up.
Now back to Customers, as well what I mentioned above, I found a customer a/c called No Name, in it were 2 transactions from 2023, but they were not to do with customers. They were both transactions from Desktop made using "make deposits" to enter money received from suppliers. One was a refund and one was paid to us in error. Nothing to do with customers.
The migration obviously takes no notice of transaction types designated in Desktop. It seems to work on the principle is it is a deposit in the bank, it must be a customer.
It has the bank as a customer with every receipt that was for interest received, entered into a customer a/c called Bank. The ATO is also a customer for a small amount of interest received.

Is this how the migration works?
Can I delete them out of customers without upsetting things?

I am most upset with all of this.
