qw.exe Application Error. The application was unable to start correctly

Hi,
In the last few days I have commenced migrating software to a Windows 11 PC with 32Gb of RAM and running a Ryzen processor. However after installing the V31 version of Reckon Accounts Plus I receive an error message stating "qw.exe Application Error. The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0150004). Click OK to close the application".
This error occurs irrespective of where the software is installed as Administrator or not, antivirus stopped or not at installation time. I am yet to uninstall the 2022 version on my old Windows 10 PC as I am very concerned that software may not be installable and I may lose important data.
Can you advise next steps to resolve the software issue and if additional information is required for troubleshooting purposes?
Regards,
Ari.

It is a must that you uninstall the old version first Use a program like Revo Uninstaller which gets out the files deep down then download and install the latest version from the members site and you should not have any problems,

Hi Gerry,
I have fully uninstalled the Reckon 2022 version from my old Windows 10 computer using RevoUninstaller but after reinstalling the V31 version on my new Windows 11 computer (as Administrator) and selecting the Reckon Accounts icon to be run, I am presented with the same error being
"qw.exe Application Error. The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0150004). Click OK to close the application".
I now have no installed and working version on my old Window 10 computer and the V31 version does not work on Windows 11. Can you advise what is the next step to get the V31 version working? I have rebooted the PC and re-run the icon as Administrator to no avail.
Regards,
Ari

You may need to ring Reckon and ask if your computer processor if compatible.

There are many well known branded PCs using the Ryzen processor and in my opinion, that is an unlikely cause of the problem. Furthermore, it is doubtful that a Reckon support person would be able to confirm the suitability, or otherwise of the Ryzen. After all Reckon support has claimed that the Reckon Personal Range has been "fully tested" on Windows 11 systems.

I contacted Reckon and they informed me that Ryzen processors are compatible with Reckon software products. I was transferred to the Activation department who stated that the existing installation of V31 should be uninstalled (which I did) and they also provided me with link to download the V31 software again. After reinstalling the V31 software and trying to run it, I am presented with the same error being:
"qw.exe Application Error. The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0150004). Click OK to close the application". I am not getting to the window to enter activation details.
I have also run sfc in an Administrator enabled Command Prompt which subsequently identified no issues from a Windows 11 systems file perspective.

Can you please check if Microsoft .NET 3.5 framework is enabled on your Windows 11 PC.
Hit the Windows key and type in Windows Features then select the Turn Windows Features on or off option. If the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) and Net Framework 4.8 Advanced Services are not enabled, please do so.
Ensure that you've uninstalled all components of your previous install attempts by using RevoUninstaller again and then restart your PC. Once that is done, try installing v31 again.

Hi Rav,
I can confirm that the Microsoft .NET 3.5 Framework is enabled along with the .NET Framework Advanced Services. RevoUninstaller was used to uninstall all components followed by a reboot and reinstallation of V31 again. No change as the same error persists to occur when selecting the Reckon Accounts icon.
