Legacy KB ID: 4321

Question

I have just installed Quicken Home Inventory Manager and when I launch it I get the error above.  I must close the program.

Answer

You will get this error if you installed Quicken Home Inventory Manager  from the Home Inventory Manager folder on the installation disk by selecting Quicken Home Inventory Manager.msi.

Using this file does not install Quicken Home Inventory Manager properly.

Solution

Uninstall this Home Inventory Manager installation through the Control Panel:

Start > Control Panel > Quicken Home Inventory Manager > click and select uninstall.

On the installation disk, go to HAB > Disk1 > Quicken Home Inventory Manager > install > click on Qhinstall.exe
