Creating and Managing Bank Feeds

Once you have created your BankData tile under your Portal Login and have linked to your Hosted Datafile, you are ready to start setting up your BankFeeds.

If you have existing Feeds in the old Reckon Accounts Hosted BankData system, view this help file for information on migrating your feeds across to Fast Coding: BankData Fast Coding - Migrating Existing Feeds.

To set up a Feed

To access Fast Coding, log into the Reckon Portal using your Reckon Accounts Hosted Username/Email and Password and select Bank Data.
The ADD FEED function would have to be performed externally, outside the Reckon Accounts Hosted environment.
  1. From the BankData Tile in Portal, click the Ellipses Menu and select Bank Feeds

  1. Click the Add Feed button

  1. Select your Bank from the Dropdown list and follow the rest of the prompts to create your feed.

The on-screen instructions that follow will depend on the bank selected.  Each bank has its own requirements.

  1. The instructions will require one of the following options:
    1. Download and fill in a bank form
    2. Register online directly with the bank
    3. Yodlee feed — Authorise the Feed

Paper Form

  1. Complete the ‘Add Feed’ fields and click ‘Add’

  1. A form will be available to download for completion

  1. Per the instructions of the ‘Download Feed Form’, either email Reckon or upload the form
Paper Forms can take up to ten days for the bank to process.

Any incorrect data on the form, may cause delays in activating the feed.

  1. Follow the instructions in ‘Add Direct Feed’ window.  Below is an example for ANZ (Australia)

Yodlee Feed

  1. To enable a Yodlee Feed, you will need to follow the Yodlee Signup wizard, which will require you to enter your Online Banking Credentials

Managing BankFeeds

The Bank Feed Management window displays a list of all bank accounts for a Feed Collection.

The Status column displays the status of a client’s Bank Feed. The progression steps are:

  • Awaiting Form (await form to be uploaded or for the Direct Feed to be activated with the bank)
  • Form Received (when the form is received by BankData)
  • Bank-Gen Addition (banks with an online sign-up, awaiting first bank transaction)
  • Form with Bank (when form is sent to the Bank)
  • Active (when the first transaction is received from the bank)

The Actions column allows users to:

  • Download the Feed Authorisation Form
  • Upload the Feed Authorisation Form
  • Re-Authorise a Yodlee Feed (this is the first thing to try if the most recent transactions haven't been downloaded)
  • Link the Bank Feed to your Reckon Accounts Hosted Bank Account
  • View the Feed Details
  • Delete the Feed

Feed Details Window

The Feed Details window will display information about the Feed including:

  • Account Name
  • Account Number
  • Yodlee ID (for Yodlee Feeds)
  • Bank
  • Status
  • Type — whether the feed is a Bank Account or a Credit Card
  • Source - whether the feed is a Direct feed or via Yodlee
  • First and Last transaction dates

When dealing with Tech Support, providing the information displayed in the Details section will help the Support team to investigate your particular issue.

Editing the Name of an Account

If, after creating your BankFeed you need to change the name associated with it, from the BankFeed Management window, click the View Details icon, and you can then edit the Account Name
