I want to run 2 seperate business on one data file. I am considering using classes for seperate reporting etc. but how can I restrict a user's access to only one class - Running Reckon hosted.

    Hi,

I am not sure if you are in New Zealand or Australia? if they are two separate businesses and they have different IRD (New Zealand) numbers then I would suggest setting up two different company files as they will need to file separately with the IRD.

I don't believe that you are able to restrict permissions on classes.

    Good luck!

Same with different ABNs. If you have them in the same data file you cannot filter GST by class.

As Toni says, two different data files

Just to add to Toni and Charles and worth noting, the Hosted pricing model is 'per concurrent user' (users logged in at the same time) not per data file, therefore you can create unlimited data files (company files) at no additional cost.
