2 seperate kitchen printers on different POS

Hi guys.

I have 2 separate POS terminals, each with their own receipt printer & kitchen printer attached directly to each POS.

Each POS is independent of each other, and I would like to be able to print separate items to appear only on each POS's kitchen printer, dependent on which POS the item is taken from.

What im seeing is that whenever I configure the kitchen printer on one of the POS, it seems to update the other POS with the same configuration, which then ends up sending the kitchen dockets to the wrong printer.

For example, if I configure POS01 terminal with the kitchen printer attached to POS01, it then changes POS02's kitchen printer to the kitchen printer on POS01.

Is this a known bug or am I doing something wrong here? I am using POS Professional 2015.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks
Andrew

Hey Andrew, yeah I first noticed this a few years ago and reported it, the developers must have had higher priority items to fix each year. Just report it again to tech support to it gets a higher priority. Most people however seem to use just one kitchen printer that is in the kitchen and not require two. I have heard other people saying they want that while feature to be revamped and be able to have multiple kitchen printers and actually dictate which items go to each printer so you could have drinks go to the bar and food to the kitchen, that would be great I reckon(excuse the pun). Regards, Chris

As a work around you could have two seperate pos databases, the only down side is that you wouldn't have transaction history shared by them or same stock levels and also require transfer back to two databases. Regards, Chris
