I need to recreate an ABA file however the original ABA does not appear in the ABA File History list to edit. It is a payroll ABA file.

    Hi Ann
Thank you for asking Reckon Community.
If the ABA file does not appear on the ABA File history anymore, you will have to redo those payments, so it can be generated again.
So please delete those current pays for all the employees and redo it.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards
    Shisir

For other users, the ABA files generated will most likely be in the ABA File History if the user logs in to Reckon on the same PC that was used when the ABA file was originally created.  Once the file is located you can edit the payroll, then edit the ABA file and create the file again.

I would recommend this before redoing the payroll completely.

    Hi Ann,

That's right, the ABA file is stored on the PC of the user who created that ABA file, even if the company file is stored on a network drive.  It won't be available to another user on another PC.

    regards,
    John

    Thanks John,

it would be useful if you could direct all ABA files created to be stored in one location and then map Reckon to point to that directory. It is cumbersome with staff working in different locations such as travelling to various offices, to then backtrack the diary to find the PC an ABA file was created on.

    Thanks Ann,

Yes, it would make Accounts Business more flexible.

I've passed on your suggestion to our Product Developers for consideration.

    regards,
