ABN already registered - Trying to set up STP following the instructions

Hi Rav

You asked Trevor and I to start a separate thread in order to help with setting up STP. 

My ABN is 42617698772 and keeps telling me it is already registered.  The email address I am using is my work email andrea@farmcam.com.au.  I have just purchased Reckon Accounts Hosted to upgrade the old Desktop 2011 - 12 version.

Please help.

    Thanks for creating this new thread.
    Ok can I just confirm, when you are logging into the Reckon Portal you are using the login details you usually use to login to Reckon Accounts Hosted or the email address (andrea@farmcam.com.au)?

    Can you please login to the Reckon Portal using the user name & password you use to login to Reckon Accounts Hosted and confirm if you're able to access the STP entity?

    Hi Rav

    When I log in to the Portal I use the username and password I set up - AndreaT.  When I log in to Accounts Hosted I use the customer ID and password provided.

    I just tried to log in to the Portal using the Customer ID but that does not work.

    From what you've described, you're doing everything right so its a tad strange its not appearing.
    Would you like me to delete the ABN registration from GovConnect so you can try registering it again? It should go through without a problem but let me know.

    If you think that is the best solution lets do it!!. 

    I have just upgraded to 2019R2 and processed payroll.  I selected Process STP in the hope it would let me in, but noooo.   Still back to the same screen saying the ABN is already set up.

    So yep, lets delete and retry please.

    No problem, I've gone ahead and done that now. If you're still logged in to your Portal account, please logout and give it a couple of minutes before logging in again.
    Register your ABN again and it should go throughout any trouble but let me know either way.

    Hi Rav

    So far so good.  I selected STP from the employee drop down list.  I signed in and it has allowed me to enter the ABN and move to the next screen :)

    Now on hold with the ATO to register the Software ID.

    Thanks for your help.  Hopefully it will be good from here.  I'll let you know.

    Rav I too am having the same issue with a client, please delete the ABN registration from GovConnect so I can get it sorted "17 074 972 222"

    I've cleared the error affecting this ABN. It can now be registered again correctly on the GovConnect service.

    I'm also having a problem, help pls. I have already contacted support via email early this morning but haven't heard back since.
    our ABN: 51101103271
    This was already set up and working fine late last month and now the screen doesn't have any STP access available. If i try to create it, portal says ABN has already been registered.

    Hi Rina,
    I've had a look at the ABN in our system and there aren't any errors affecting this ABN registration. From what you've described it sounds as though you're not logging in to the same Reckon Portal account that the ABN was registered under.
    Can you please login to the Reckon Portal with the correct email address & password used when the STP entity was first created.

    Thanks for your reply.
    I logged on using Abelflags as the user which I believe was the one that was finally advised by the support staff to log in to.
    If this is incorrect, I need to know what the correct one, please.

    Hi Rav,

    I am also having the same problem. I sent a request to Reckon for assistance a few days ago but have not heard back.

    Our ABN is 31762750780.

    I've only had the one login email and password so not sure why it isn't working. Just has the error 'Sorry, that ABN has already been registered'.

    Can you please look into this on your side?

    Hi Rina,
    No, the ABN is in a Reckon Portal account that has been registered with a business email address. Its not the under the abelflags user name. I'm not going to disclose the login credentials here but it looks to be a generic email address for the business.

    Hi Jack,
    Your ABN registration had an error which I've now removed. If you try to register the ABN on the GovConnect service again now it should go through without a problem.

    I tried the one that had been used in the account but it's giving me a wrong company details. The process of getting it right took a long time and there was a lot of going forwards and backwards to get it resolved.

    If only any support staff could get back to me, please, we need to lodge the STP file for last week so and will have another payrun tomorrow.

    I tried one more time using the email address based on your clue and clicked on GovConnect and there was our company!
    The funny thing was that during the time support was trying to resolve the problem, this wldnt work and so i was asked to start using Abelflags.  This account had all the required info to be able to start using STP.
    So it looked like there was fixing/swapping done in the background i wasn't made aware of!!!
    Now I need to re-do the company details again on this email account, hopefully this is the last hurdle we have to go through to be able to submit to ATO.

    Hi John,
    I think what is happening here is you're logging in with a different email address to what was used when the ABN was first registered.
    When I take a look at your ABN registration in our system it shows up as registered under a business email address with the same domain as the email address you've used to register for this Reckon Community account (but different email address). Hopefully that helps you to track it down.

    I am having this same problem as well. I sent email to support but haven't heard back. Our ABN is 37462324334
    I am using our business email to login.

    Hi Melissa,
    I've had a look at that ABN and its all ok in terms of no errors with the registration. I think where you're running into trouble is because the ABN/STP entity has been registered in a different Reckon Portal account ie. not registered under that email address. 
    Instead, it looks like you're a Reckon Accounts Hosted user so just login to the Reckon Portal with your Hosted login details ie. Hosted user name & password.
    You should see the STP entity after logging into the Portal with these details.

    i tried using Hosted user-name & password and it says that user name not registered. I remember creating account using the business email & it all looked good to go when i did it a few weeks ago, but now it doesn't seem to have the ABN linked when i login.

    can you also look after my ABN 51704462427 as we had the same problem on the step 1 to register to ATO. It says our ABN has been registered as below:

    Sorry, that ABN has already been registered. If you have one, please try a different GST branch

    Same issue happened to me, this is our company's ABN: 43001535691, once i registered with my email and pw, then required to input the ABN number, but after it the "next" button dose't work. 

    for this issue could you please help to check it and please guide me how i can access Reckon successfully or not.

    I've searched that ABN you've listed in our system and the ABR and its showing as an invalid ABN. 

    Can you recheck the number please?

    ABN is fine and your system returns the correct company. After I get 'company already registered' and go back to login screen. 
    Have phone your call centre and Have uninstalled and re-installed several times, but have same result.

    Sorry what I meant was, can you double check the ABN that you've listed in the post above? ie. 74515503685 
    Because when I search for it its showing as invalid (see my screenshot below from the Australian Business Register (ABR)).

    Ok this should be sorted for you now. If you can go ahead and try to register your ABN into your app account now it should go through without an issue.

    Hi, thought I did everything ok, but ATO has said they can see I've tried to send the stp but they haven't got it, cos possibly some common reporting issues, eg missing info. However, I dont appear to have received anything from you, so I have no idea what might be happening. Are you able to have a look? please.

    I've had a look for that ABN however its telling me it does not exist on the Australian Business Register. Can you please double check the number.

    Thanks @JTran, that looks better.

    Branch 001 has STP submissions sent to the ATO already so it cannot be deleted for any reason. What are you looking/needing to do with this registration?

    Hi Rav,

    Sorry, there was a little bit of a mix up with which client it was that needed STP registration. I tried again with the other client was able to register with Reckon GovConnect without any issues, so all good now. Thanks for your help!
