Accessing 2018 pay data after upgrading to Payroll Premier 2018/19

HelloWe are still reviewing and finalising our 2018 PAYG Payment Summaries.  If I upgrade to 2018/19 Payroll Premier to commence Single Touch Payroll, can I still access the 2018 data?  Or can I only produce reports?  From memory the pays list no longer shows in the history.

Ie. if we find that there is an error in a pay run that was produced through the year, can I access t this to make the amendment?
Many thanks

Hello Belinda,

Yes, you can produce 2017-18 Payment Summaries and Empdupe files from the 2018-19 version.

If you need to make an adjustment to a processed pay, remember that the tax tables and thresholds are for the 18-19 tax year and not 17-18, so depending on your circumstances, you may need to adjust the tax amounts.  You can always check the correct PAYG amounts on the ATO tax calculator.  It would be more secure to make any changes in the 2017-18 version.

regards,
John.

John, I haven't upgraded to 2018/19 yet, but I can't seem to be able to access 2017/18 data to make adjustments.  How do I do this?

Hi Julie,

On your List Employee screen right click an employee and select show Employee Pays.  Next, find the pay that requires adjustment and double click it.  On the right side there is a check box Edit This Pay - uncheck it.  Now you can make adjustments .  When done click on OK.
