One of our clients is using QuickBooks Premier – Accountant Edition 2011-12. They sent us the Accountant copy for their 2017 tax return. We extracted and sent back Accountant’s Change after we finished, which contains all the adjustment journal correctly. However, a message of Import Failed came up when client imported Accountant’s Change in their file. Error message saying 'A related object is already in use, or failed to acquire the lock for this object.'.

Please advise solution to fix this issue, as without a proper accountant change to import client can't make change to their file.

Hi Faye,
With the accountant copy some times due to system level change such as disable or replacement of account in the original file can result in failed import, sorry to say in this event there is no way to fix the import, I would suggest for you to print out the changes you made, send over to client and advice client to manual data entry to record these changes.
