I know how to customise my invoices but I feel like I'm limited to how the invoice looks.  I'd like it to look like what I'm seeing coming from Reckon One. Something a bit more modern.  All I can do is a table or no table, change the font, colour and add a logo.  Can I import a different style of template into Hosted? Thanks for your help

Reckon One has a few invoice template layouts

The Reckon Accounts Hosted platform has a Layout Designer which is much more powerful and flexible than what is currently available for Reckon One. It can do more than just change fonts, colours and add logos.

The Layout Designer allows for customisation of the invoice with movable data field and labels.

You can only import a template style that has been created using the Reckon Accounts software.

    For more information:

    Click on the Help menu
    Select Reckon Accounts Help
In the Index, use the keywords "customising forms" or In the Search tab, use the keywords "Layout Designer"

    To edit a template:

    Click on the Lists menu
    Select Templates
Use the mouse right-click on a specific template to bring up the context menu, then select Edit Template

Click on the Additional Customisation or the Layout Designer buttons.

There you can make changes to the existing template styles and make it look similar to the Reckon One layout if you prefer by rearranging the data fields and removing borders and changing fonts and alignments.

Thanks for that.  Are you saying that I can import a Reckon One invoice template into Accounts Hosted? If so how do I do that?  I only have Hosted not Reckon One

    Hi Alicia

Reckon One has very limited edit-ability for customisation, unlike Reckon Accounts/Hosted!

In RA/RAH, you can create & modify a template to look however you want it to, including exactly like that Reckon One example! :)

Even better, once you’ve got your template how you want it, you can use it as a default layout to create other forms too!!!! (eg POs, Remittances etc)

Here is a snippet from the Help section on customisation options:

In the Basic and Additional Customisation window, customise the template:

?     Change the invoice title, including the font that's used, and then move it to a different place on the form

?    Rename the date, invoice number, bill to, and ship to fields

?     Prevent $0.00   from printing on progress invoices

?    Add your company logo to the printed or emailed invoice and move it to a different spot on the invoice

?    Add or change how your company name and contact information appear on the invoice

?    Add  or remove  fields and  columns on the invoice, for example add a "barcode" column to your invoice so you can use scanner to simply scan an item into the invoice to speed up key data entry.

?    Print the customer balance on invoices

?     Rename a field or column

?    Change the order of the columns on the invoice

?    Change the font that's used for different fields

?    Add or remove the status stamp (Paid, Pending, Received, etc.)

?    Add special sections to the invoice, such as warranty information, legal disclaimers, notes to customers, or contractual details

?    Add a remittance tear-off section or special instructions

?    Add lines and borders around different fields on the invoice

?     Align quantities on the printed invoice

?    Add page numbers to the printed invoice

?    Change the printer settings that are used when you print the invoice

    Alicia,

You cannot import templates from Reckon One into Hosted, they are different products.
