Trying to process the 2019 upgrade on Reckon Accounts Hosted and have been endeavouring to backup for 2 days with no success.I have done a rebuild on the file but after 4 hours today the backup halted at 72% and didn't move any further. The file size is 419MB. How can I reduce the size of the company file?

Hi Mel - 419MB isnt really that big and the file should backup? Assuming the rebuild was successful on the file - then have you tried to backup with the option set to No verification?

    Hi Linda,
When i go in to the 2019 Version to Upgrade of the data file , it wants to backup at this point. I do not get to choose if the back up is verified or not.
I attempted to backup three times in the last few days and after approximately 4 hours going through at snails pace,  it comes up with the error : Gateway Failed authenticating user token.
    Getting very frustrated.

I am having the same problem.
Our file size is 2GB, and I have tried to clean up data but in order to do that a backup must be made and a rebuild/verify has to be done also. None of which I can do as my file size is so large and it times out after hours and hours and trying. My last backup got to 90 something % and then failed after 19 HOURS!!
    SO frustrated!
Am I better of creating a whole new company file??
We have 7 years worth of data on the company, would love to shave a few years off at least!

Our file used to take a long time to back up as well. Nothing as drastic as what you are saying. Now before backing up I log out all users. Go to the file where the data is stored and delete the TLG file. I find then, with ours, that the backup is ultra quick.
This TLG file can become very big at times and slows everything down.
