Does Accounts Hosted have a limit of the number of names that can be created? eg employee names, customer names?

Hi Megan,
Whilst there are theoretical limits, consider the practical limits.
The more records are in each list, the longer it may take to display in drop-down lists, to search, etc.
How many names are you expecting to add?
The "Names List" is comprised of the Customers, Suppliers, Employees, Other Names list records.
Typically you could put around 10,500 records in each name type, however the "Names List" would have a combined total of 14,500 on the desktop platform and 100,000 records in the Enterprise/Hosted platform.

Trying to upload an IIF invoice file. Every time the file comes to a new client the import stops. Have imported the file into a TEST Reckon file and no errors occurred. Just trying to work out why the file uploads to one Reckon Accounts Hosted data file and not the other. Thanks

Hi Megan,
That is a different kind of question altogether.
When the 'import stops' what is the exact error message displayed?
In the file that is accepting your IIF import file that contains invoice transactions, do the names already exist, whereas, in the one that does not work, those names are not yet present? If so, then that may be a contributing factor.
Where are you getting that IIF import file from that contains invoice transactions?
How to view the Product Information screen on Reckon Accounts Hosted
Look at your data file details in the 'product information' screen to see if the file you are having difficulty with may have reached a list limit.

This is the error message we are getting :
The data file which is accepting the IIF is a empty file with no customers or data. When the IIF stops importing, we check where the import is up to and create a new IIF from where it left off and start again. The import has now stopped several times during this process.0 -
Recommend you split your IIF file into different sections for further troubleshooting.
If the IIF you are importing contains LISTS of names and TRANSACTIONS, do these in stages to confirm whether it is the names, items lists or the actual transactions such as invoices, bills, journals, etc that are failing.
Without seeing the specific IIF and the data file that is failing, it would be difficult to troubleshoot this further. Recommend you contact the Hosted support team for assistance and send a copy of the data file and the IIF's.
