Add a tag to loan transaction

How do I add tags to loan payments. I would like to create reports based on tags

Mark, can you explain the Transaction a bit more?  Easy to add a Tag, but may need to use a Split transaction to achieve that.

The transaction is an automatic P&I payment which has been setup using the loan wizard

If I go back into the loan and choose "edit payment" I can select "category for interest" and I've set this to be "interest of loans" but there is no option to set a 'tag' 

I plan to create reports that reference the 'tag' so I separate "interest of loans" across two different investments

Have only just seen your reply, Mark, so apologies for the delay.

I'm not familiar with the Loan Wizard, but I suspect it just automates Transactions.  The alternative is to set up the repayments manually and then schedule the transaction.  Assuming you want to transfer money from a "Banking & Cash Account" to a Liability account, periodically, then I'd suggest setting up the repayment as a split transaction between the two accounts.  That way you can add a Tag quite easily.

Alternatively, you could set up the repayments to separate Loans with different Payees (is Loan 1, and Loan 2) , and then produce reports based on Payee.

Does that help?  Come back if I've not properly understood what you are trying to do.
