After upgrading from Personal Plus 2016 to 2017 I get Invalid indent character and invalid sort character

Hi there

I have never had any problems with Reckon Accounts in such as long time I was surprised to see this error occur.

Background
I have Windows 10 64-bit running Reckon Accounts Personal Plus 2016
My data file is under a folder on my D: Drive
Before upgrade I did a Validate Data file

I then uninstalled the 2016 edition as per instructions and installed Personal Plus 2017
(Initially it refused to licence but after a call to customer support it was quickly solved).
Anyway, once past that hurdle, I proceeded to load my data file, after entering my password

Reckon Accounts Personal Plus 2017 displayed two dialogs:
First one was "Invalid indent character" with an OK button
Second one was "Invalid sort character" with an OK button

After acknowledging them I can still work in the software with no issues.
I Validated and also Super Validated the file with NO ERRORS
But when i go to reload the file I get the same errors!!

There has been one or twice that the file loaded with no error dialogs being displayed.... but this has never happened again.

Does anyone know what is happening here? Is there some corruption that Validation is not picking up? Where would I look?
