STP submissions still in pending mode. I rang Reckon and they advised to contact ATO. ATO says its a Reckon problem! Help, what do i do? Pending from August 2018 and 2 submissions in Oct 2019.

This is a similar situation to the case in your other thread. If you've made successful STP lodgements AFTER these pay events then your figures are up to date as STP is reported on a YTD basis.

Thanks Rav! I have had successful submissions since but its disconcerting looking at this "Pending" status. Will just sit on this again and hopefully it will right itself.

I also had most of my lodgements sitting on "Pending" I found that when i went into the "detail" option the status changed to Success when i went back to the lodgement page.

I have finally managed to get my last 6 payruns through as successful, all the rest are either errors or pending.  what happens to all the previous weeks - I have 85 other submissions sitting there? and what happens for employees that have resigned earlier in the financial year?  Are their figures up to date too?

Hi Jocelyn,
Pay events that are in an error state will not change. If you've corrected the error and your current pay events have been successful as you've mentioned then your YTD figures are up to date.

Check out this article for more info on commencing STP mid-year which also explains what to do for earlier terminated employees - Starting Single Touch Payroll Lodgments mid year

HI Jocelyn,  I have had the same problem recently.  I was advised by Reckon to ring the ATO in regard to the errors.  The ATO had received all of my STP's even though the portal was advising error or pending, the ATO advised there was a glitch in the Reckon software and it was not working correctly.  I have been waiting on Reckon to fix the issue.  There is no need to lodge again, you can ring the ATO to double check they have all your STP's and more than likely it is a Reckon error.  Hope that helps :)

I have the same problem with two files in ERROR status. One is from yesterday, ie. the LAST pay run for the FY.
The ATO have not got them according to the STP page in their Portal . Their is nothing specific in the error msg to fix and the ATO said to just lodge them again.  So perhaps there were technical issues at either the ATO or Reckon yesterday ? (26/6/19 around 4.30pm)

Hi Leshelle and Kim,
There has to be an error message response from the ATO that gives some indication as to what the error is (sometimes these can be a tad cryptic).
Click on the 'Detail' link on the pay event and the response from the ATO will be at the top of the page inside the pay event itself.

Let me know what the message is and I'll see if I can give you a bit more info.

Hi Kim and Rav
My error messages were related to the ATO being unavailable. I tried re submitting my last pay event and it took awhile but eventually it went thru. That was last Thursday 27th.

Hi Rav

The status initially says Pending but if you click on Pending you then het an error.

If I click through the Error message I get the below.

That said, I have taken the steps they outline, select Reckon and the software number specified but I still get the same result when I process the subsequent week.

Thanks for the help and look forward to your advice

Kim

Being a small business I have just started with STP from the 1st July. My 4 weekly payments have submitted ok but all have a status of pending. Who should I contact - ATO or Reckon?

Hi Peter,
Click on the 'Detail' link on the respective pay events to view the most recent response from the ATO.
The status message in the list will also update based on that response ie. Success, Error etc.
