'Re-enter your password to verify your identity in company' when opening a company file without users

ReckonAccounts Login Verification is asking for me to "re-enter your password to verify your identity in company".  I am the only one who uses quickbooks, I have never created users (just use the admin user), and don't use passwords.  The only time I use a password is when I close my books at the end of each quarter, and I have tried that password to no use.

The company file is open under this window, but if I select Cancel, it closes Reckon Accounts, if I select OK, it says the user name or password is incorrect, please try again. What do I do?  I need to get in to use it!

Welcome to the Reckon Community Rebecca.

The best thing to do is cancel this login and close Accounts Business.

Now hold down the Ctrl key and at the same time launch Accounts Business – it should open to the No Company Open Screen.  Now select the company file you wish to open.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers
John.

Thanks John,

I actually shut down my computer and started all over again.
This worked.

Thanks again.
