ATO declined a payrun, but pay amounts are still reflecting in the employees financial year summary

Initially an employee provided an incorrect tax file number. Consequently the pay run was rejected by the ATO. I would assume this means the pay value submitted and rejected, does not contribute to the pay summary that appears under the employees profile in the app.
However it does.
Do i need to do an adjustment on a pay run that was rejected?

Hi Melissa,
The Pay Summary section in the app takes into account ALL submissions sent for that employee whether they are successful or not, it doesn't show a 'live' balance so to speak that is sitting on the ATO end.

The key thing to check is the figure shown in your ATO Business Portal and/or the employee's MyGov account

UPDATE

The only way to check the employees YTD details is their income statement on MyGov.  I strongly suggest you all do this for each employee prior to finalising the year if you are having issues reconciling figures, do not rely on the Pay Summary in the App.

Rav's response on another thread:
There is a new update coming to the STP app which will contain a more comprehensive end of financial year process which will assist with your situation.
It should be available either today or tomorrow and we'll have more information coming on this very soon.

As Robyn has said, the ATO Business Portal only provides a pay run total- not individual payee totals. I have just spoken with the ATO and they cannot provide a YTD total for an employee.

The ATO portal is also showing amounts that are appearing as rejected through the Reckon app.
I want to ensure totals for EFY are correct, but not sure what adjustments to make. The ATO suggested deleting the pay run causing the issue, and re enter correctly, but it appears the app doesn't allow pay runs to be deleted.

That's exactly what we are finding Melissa.  I am currently trouble shooting this with a client.  Client is getting the employee to double check YTD income statement on MyGov to double check.  I will report back.  BUT, at this stage it does appear that rejected pays are still getting sent to and included in ATO figures.
We have created a spreadsheet with the pays that have been paid for the whole year (not ideal - very time consuming) but it is very hard to tell with errors + rejections + declined pays which pays have been included and which haven't.
WIP since Wednesday to find the correct YTD figures and compare them somehow to what the ATO have.
I'll report back once known.
PS Client is moving to a paid STP payroll solution & happy to, we just need to work out what figures are being reported.
