    Hi Anne,
Can you post a screenshot of the full exact error message you're receiving?

Also, which Reckon software are you using?

    Thanks Anne,
This message comes up when there is a mismatch between the file types for the STP pay event export file in your Reckon accounting software ie. Reckon Accounts Hosted and the submission option selected in GovConnect.

To put it a bit more simply, you may have chosen 'Update Event' option in GovConnect STP whereas the pay event was created as a normal one ie. not created as a Update Event in Reckon Accounts Hosted.

    Hi guys,
This is an easy one to solve. You just have to make sure that whatever type of STP file you are creating in your Reckon accounting software is what you are selecting as your upload option in GovConnect.

So for example, if you are creating a NORMAL new pay event in your Reckon software please ensure you are not selecting any of the tickboxes ie. Update Event, Full File Replacement etc when you are creating the file in your software.
Then over on the GovConnect side of things, select the New Pay Event option as your upload selection.

You just have to make sure that the way you are creating your pay event file in your software is matching what option you are uploading in GovConnect.

I also got the same ATO error message for my first attempt to use STP.  I have just attempted to upload last weeks pay run for the third time and carefully followed the above instructions.  Fingers crossed it works this time.
