What does this error message mean please?


ATO Messages

The following error messages have been returned from the ATO and need to be reviewed. You may need to make changed in your accounting product before submitting again.

Error message
The element 'AddressDetailsPostal' in namespace 'http://www.sbr.gov.au/ato/payevnt' has invalid child element 'CountryC' in namespace 'http://www.sbr.gov.au/ato/payevnt'. List of possible elements expected: 'Line1T' in namespace 'http://www.sbr.gov.au/ato/payevnt'. Hint: while processing parent element [AddressDetailsPostal] child mandatory element [Line1T] was expected but not found

Hi Vanessa,
Did you submit a Full File Replacement OR a normal pay event submission?

Can you please submit this again but please ensure that its a NORMAL pay event ie. not created as a Full File Replacement in your Reckon accounting software.

If you receive an error message after submitting a normal pay event file, can you let me know what exact message is?

Also, can you let me know which Reckon product you're using?

Thanks Rav, I just resubmitted last weeks pay run and its gone through fine after i submitted yesterdays pay run.

Hi Vanessa,
I had the same thing happen, it just means the "Legal name" in your Reckon Accts Company File doesn't match the name in GovConnect. Its case sensitive also, so make sure it matches exactly.

Thanks Anita, I double checked the company name in both and they seemed to be fine but after re-submitting last weeks pay run with yesterdays pay run all processed fine
