I am a BAS Agent, not a computer geek!
First run on STP last week has resulted in the below message from the ATO

ATO Messages

The following error messages have been returned from the ATO and need to be reviewed. You may need to make changed in your accounting product before submitting again.

Error message

I have NO idea what THAT means!
Then after doing 2019 tax table update I am getting the message, when I try to lodge new STP info:

augregfind
Query Failed

THEN, just to top it off, the upload for today uploaded twice.  One was authorised; one was deleted.  Both have now disappeared ... even though a message came up that an authorised lodgement cannot be deleted.

    Hi Helen.
I'm no expert but we had a very similar message.
Try looking through your employee records for an error or missing address.
    Cheers Tony

    Hi Helen,
Let's cover these off one at a time.

The element 'AddressDetailsPostal' in namespace 'http://www.sbr.gov.au/ato/payevnt' has invalid child element 'CountryC' in namespace 'http://www.sbr.gov.au/ato/payevnt'. List of possible elements expected: 'Line1T' in namespace 'http://www.sbr.gov.au/ato/payevnt'. Hint: while processing parent element [AddressDetailsPostal] child mandatory element [Line1T] was expected but not found
Did you submit the Full File Replacement OR the normal pay event submission?

Can you please submit this again but please ensure that its a NORMAL pay event ie. not created as a Full File Replacement in your accounting software.

If you receive an error message after submitting a normal pay event file, can you let me know what exact message is?

Then after doing 2019 tax table update I am getting the message, when I try to lodge new STP info:
    augregfind Query Failed
There's a Knowledgebase article for this error message which I'll link below. Its related to special characters being in the company file name which needs to be removed.
Failed to load auregfind error in Reckon Accounts

THEN, just to top it off, the upload for today uploaded twice.  One was authorised; one was deleted.  Both have now disappeared ... even though a message came up that an authorised lodgement cannot be deleted.
I'm not really sure what you mean here or what's happened. Can you please give me a bit more info.

I submitted a normal pay event, and got the same message (the first error that was spoken about)

    Exact message is:

The element ÁddressDetailsPostal' in namespace 'http://www.sbr.gov.au/ato/payevnt' has invalid child element ÇountryC' in namespace 'http://www.sbr.gov.au/ato/payevnt'. List of possible elements expected:  Line 1T' in namespace 'http://www.sbr.gov.au/ato/payevnt'.  Hint: while processing parent element [addressdetailspostal] child mandatory element [Line1T] was expected but not found

I had already spent an extra 2 hours at the client at the point of sending this and had left by the time you sent the above reply.  I will not be back there now until Wednesday next week; so will work through your suggestions & advise.

    Hi Helen

I had this issue after upgrading the tax tables. When you go to lodge your file from Reckon Do Not Tick the Full File Replacement box. It only needs to be ticked if you are replacing a previously sent file. Hope this helps your issue, it fixed it for me.

I had incorrectly ticked the Full File Replacement box in the Reckon software prior to lodging it.  I no longer do this and have not had an issue.  Once in the STP portal there is a box to tick and I do tick that one.
I have checked that the Company name is EXACTLY as it appears in the Aust Business Register & that there are no incorrect spaces in the employee's details.  I am still having other issues but the above issue one no longer appears.
