attempting to contact server

RA Home & Business 2016 Annual License.
I'm trying to update, however I can't seem to get to the server to do so. I have tried auto and manual.I'm now being told that the activation key is invalid.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Vicki,

    Firstly make sure your in HB 2016 (check on the top of the screen that is says 2016 and not 2015 or any earlier version.  Next make sure you have the HB 2016 installation key (dont get it mixed up with previous versions installation key).  Select "Start over with new installation key" and enter the 2016 installation key.  If you have done both those things (making sure you are in 2016 with 2016 key then it should activate online.  Usually this problem happens when you use the 2016 key in 2015, or the 2015 key in 2016.  Each year has its own unique installation key that must be used.

    Hi Vicky,

    You can find this and download on the Reckon website.  Go to www.reckon.com and click on Login > Members > login with your customer ID and PIN.  Click on Downloads on the left of the screen.  The installation key and download for the software can be found here.

    Thanks Shane, I have done that, however I'm experiencing a problem launching the program now.

    I did have an error message stating that there was failure to launch, however, this evening I was able to finish the process and it seems to be working now.
