When I backup one of my companies I have to run the rebuild each time before the backup will complete successfully. The error in my file log is 298 'Attempted two active database requests' Can anyone help me understand what the problem is ?  Running Reckon Hosted

    Hi Karen,

Sounds like a corruption in the company file that is being recreated the next time you use it.

Suggest you do a full Rebuild  which will include Resort your Lists, Rebuild, followup on the qbwin.log file (which is in the Q:\Log folder which you'll need to download to your PC to view).  After each successful Rebuild run the Verify to confirm no errors still exist.

Then created a Portble Company File (Backup QBM) and restore it.

    Does the problem persist?

    regards,
    John

    Hi John

Yes this has worked, my file now backs up with no errors - Thank you

I thought it may have fixed another problem I'm having with the file but didn't.  When I run a Tax Detail report which usually creates both a Cash Net & Cash Tax report I get an error message 'Tax Account does not exist. There is no data on which to report'  and I only get a Cash Net report.

Both reports create in my other companies correctly - do you know if the error can be fixed?

    Thanks
    Karen

    Hi Karen,

Sounds like the Tax Payable account is corrupt.

    Work through the fix here.
